Establishing and maintaining a thick, healthy stand of turf is not only visually appealing – it benefits the environment by preventing erosion and acting as a filter for stormwater runoff. It also provides a place for children, pets, friends and family to gather and enjoy throughout the year. Studies have shown that an attractive lawn can add as much as 10% to home value. Our Healthy Lawn Program will provide the lawn with the nutrients it needs throughout the growing season. It will also help to prevent crabgrass and control weeds. As additional services we also offer Grub and Insect Control as well as preventative and curative disease control as needed. These services in conjunction with sound cultural practices such as proper watering, liming, and aeration / overseeding will provide you with a thick, healthy lawn for years to come.
Our Healthy Lawn Program consists of the following applications:
Early Spring Treatment
A balanced fertilizer to encourage green up as well as pre-emergent crabgrass control. Broadleaf weeds will be treated if temperatures allow and weeds are actively growing.
Late Spring Treatment
A balanced fertilizer with iron to promote color as well as pre-emergent crabgrass control. Broadleaf weeds will be treated.
A balanced fertilizer with micronutrients that will help the grass withstand drought, heat stress and insect pressures during the summer. Broadleaf weeds, nutsedge*, and crabgrass** will be treated if present and weather conditions allow.
Grub & Insect Control
This application is specifically targeted to provide season long protection from all types of grubs. Grubs can damage the turf roots by chewing them as they move through the soil. This application will also provide limited control of surface feeding insects as well. This application should be watered in within 24 hours for best results.
*This application will be done in conjunction with the Summer Treatment. Both services will be billed together.
Early Fall Treatment
A balanced fertilizer with iron to improve color and encourage growth. Broadleaf weeds, nutsedge*, and crabgrass** will be treated if present.
Late Fall Treatment
A winterizing fertilizer that will promote root development and green up the following spring.
Regulates the soils ph and reduces acidity improving turf vigor, root development, and stress tolerance.*Nutsedge will be treated at no charge for customers receiving all 6 applications on the Healthy Lawn Program
**Crabgrass will be treated at no charge for customers who had both the Early Spring and Late Spring applications with crabgrass pre-emergent.
Diseases can cause the lawn to become unsightly and in some cases cause permanent damage that will require seeding. Our preventative fungicide program consists of 4 timed applications that will prevent and control foliar turf diseases throughout the growing season. We also offer curative fungicides as needed if recommended by your lawn care technician.
